Privacy

sleep-xr.com is run by the SLEEP-XR organisers (Neven ElSayed and James Baumeister at Adelaide University, and Ernst Kruijff at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg) for the SLEEP-XR workshop at IEEE VR 2027.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you log in. We use it to send you login emails and messages about your submission or reviews.
  • Submission details: titles, abstracts, author names, emails and affiliations, conflicts of interest, and the PDFs you upload.
  • Reviews, if you’re on the program committee.
  • Server logs: IP addresses and pages requested, kept for a short time to keep the site running and secure.

The reaction-time test on the home page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing from it is sent to us.

Who can see it

  • Submissions and PDFs are visible only to the people who submitted them and to the organisers.
  • Reviewing is blind: reviewers see papers without author names, and authors see reviews without reviewer names.
  • Accepted papers are published in the IEEE Digital Library, with the author names and affiliations you give for the final version.

We don’t sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies. The site uses two cookies of its own: one to keep you logged in, and one to protect forms.

Where it’s kept

The site runs on a server in Australia. Email is sent through Amazon Simple Email Service, and nightly backups are kept in Amazon Web Services in Sydney.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions and reviews until 12 months after the workshop, so we can answer questions about the proceedings, and then delete them. Backups expire on their own soon after. You can ask us to delete your account and any submission you’ve withdrawn at any time.
